What is Sleep Apnea?
Sleep apnea is known as consistent stops in your breathing while you are asleep. This is typically caused when the muscles relax and gravity pulls the airways closed. This short-term suffocation creates recessive strain on the body and can result in health concerns, like memory loss, moodiness, weight gain, fatigue, hypertension, and more. There are a number of sleep apnea alternatives to help you restfully and safely sleep at night. These options vary, from various airway surgeries to CPAP devices, and in some cases, dental appliances. At ENT Facial Plastics and Sleep Disorder Center, board-certified ENT/facial plastic surgeon Dr. B. Terry Seymour can help diagnose and treat sleep apnea so you can sleep better at night. For more information, contact us at either our Atlanta or Lithonia, GA location.

What Can I Expect from My Sleep Apnea Treatment?
Sleep apnea treatments are offered at ENT Facial Plastics and Sleep Disorder Center in Atlanta and Lithonia, GA. These treatments range from surgery to trim down the soft palate and uvula, remove the tonsils, reposition soft palate muscles, and more. In addition to surgery, we offer radiofrequency (RF) ablation for those with mild to moderate sleep apnea, as well as CPAP therapy. Depending on your symptoms, sleep history, and Dr. Seymour's evaluation of you, he will decide which option is best for you.
