What are Nasal Fractures?
Nasal fractures can occur due to collisions, traumas, accidents, and much more. In some cases, the bone can be reset manually, and in other cases, surgery may be necessary. Board-certified ENT/facial plastic surgeon specialist Dr. B. Terry Seymour provides broken nose repair for those that need to restore their broken nose. At ENT Facial Plastics and Sleep Disorder Center, broken nose repair is provided to realign the nose and put the surrounding tissues in their proper place. While this procedure can help cosmetically, it often also helps restore breathing issues. We typically suggest waiting about 2 – 3 months after your injury to seek surgical treatment. If you have questions or would like to schedule a consultation, contact us in Atlanta or Lithonia, GA.

What Can I Expect from My Broken Nose Repair?
There are a variety of different treatment methods for broken noses, depending on the damage. With less extensive breaks, we can reposition the nose with a special instrument during an in-office visit. For more extensive breaks or multiple breaks, we may need to reposition or address the nasal bones, cartilage, and more. In these instances, we'll perform surgery while you're under general anesthesia. Dr. Seymour works diligently to provide a natural appearance with little scarring. You may expect pain, bruising, and swelling after your treatment, but this is normal and will resolve on its own, depending on the extent of the treatment. We will likely schedule follow-up visits to check on your nose's healing progress. It's important to follow post-op care instructions carefully.
